About

We strive to be a Center of Excellence that provides high-quality, patient-centered care to the diverse members of our community.

La Red Health Center (LRHC) is a community-based, non-profit health center dedicated to providing high-quality affordable care to individuals and families in Sussex County, Delaware. Founded in 2001, LRHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that operates as a patient-centered medical home—welcoming all people, regardless of insurance status, language, income, or background.

We believe health care is a human right, not a privilege. That’s why our team of dedicated providers and support staff works every day to make care accessible and build trust in our rural communities. From annual check-ups and prenatal care to behavioral health services and chronic disease management, we strive to treat the whole person with compassion and dignity.

Our Mission

We are committed to being a Center of Excellence by delivering high-quality, patient-centered care that meets the needs of our community. We are committed to addressing the unique needs of every individual we serve, fostering an environment where patients, staff, and community members can achieve their highest potential.

Our Vision

To create a healthier Sussex County by delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care that celebrates community, fosters collaboration, and is rooted in respect, dignity, and safety for all. Through compassionate, innovative, and holistic practices, we aim to transform health outcomes and eliminate disparities across our region.

Our Commitment

“La Red” means “the network” in Spanish—a name that reflects our deep connection to the community and our collaborative approach to care. We work closely with hospitals, schools, nonprofits, and local agencies to address social determinants of health and advance health equity for all.

Always great service and very kind people are super helpful and always appreciated going there. Thank you so much. Great team!
